Under The Big Sky Festival To Debut In Whitefish, Northern Montana, July 13 & 14

Line-up Includes Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Band of Horses, Dwight Yoakam, Cody Jinks, Jenny Lewis, Ryan Bingham, Lucius, Whitey Morgan, Shooter Jennings, Jamestown Revival, Nikki Lane and Many More

This July, Under The Big Sky Music and Arts Festival will debut on a 350 acre ranch, just outside Whitefish Montana, less than 30 miles from the incredible Glacier National Park. Under The Big Sky will present stars from across the spectrum of Americana, folk and alt-country in one of America’s most unspoiled and pristine regions of natural wilderness.

Under The Big Sky celebrates the tradition of gathering friends and family together under open skies to listen to music. The festival will explore the breadth and legacy of Americana, taking in both traditional and contemporary takes on our country’s rich musical traditions, across two stages in naturally formed amphitheaters on the ranch.

Under The Big Sky is led by Nathaniel Rateliff’s rugged modern soul and the powerful, melancholic rock of Band of Horses. Country music forms the backbone of Under The Big Sky with the inimitable American icon Dwight Yoakam who will deliver his singular interpretation of Honky-tonk, alongside indie-star Jenny Lewis’ presentation of her new album On The Line and the in your face country stylings of musical outlaw Cody Jinks.

Texan rockers Jamestown Revival will perform alongside Grammy and Oscar winning Yellowstone star and Americana traditionalist Ryan Bingham. Emerging stars also feature at Under The Big Sky with Brooklyn indie four-piece Lucius, country rocker Nikki Lane and Americana experimentalist Amanda Shires performing alongside outlaw country acts Whitey Morgan and Shooter Jennings.

The festival rounds out its diverse programming with Canadian Western folk-star and Rocky Mountain rancher Corb Lund, alternative roots guitarist Bones Owens, blues steeped survivor Justin Townes Earle, the dark whiskey hues of San Diegan band The Silent Comedy, ruckus inducing energy from string quartet Hogslop String Band, Charlie Overbey’s hardened alt-country, Montana favorite Mike Murray, bumpin reggae and blues from Jameson and the Sordid Seeds and the acoustic duo Danny + Joy.

Under The Big Sky will be held on Big Mountain Ranch, a 350 acre working farm located just over a mile East of the city limits of Whitefish. The ranch has 180 degree views of Whitefish Ski Resort’s mountains. This is the heart of Big Sky country and one of Montana’s most beautiful regions. Accompanying the musical programming and giving visitors an authentic Montana experience, will be a rough stock rodeo produced by Brash Rodeo, as well as trail riding opportunities in and around the ranch.

Under The Big Sky ia an all ages event, with children under six able to enter for free. Food and beverage will be a curated collaboration between the notable Whitefish restaurateur Pat Carloss and his team and Best Beverage Catering, who provide catering for Coachella, Stagecoach, BottleRock and many other major festivals. VIP experiences and seating will be offered, with a bespoke VIP food and beverage program.

A bike valet will be available on-site. Discounted local hotel and camping accommodations will be announced soon.
